## Caption

The weather’s a bit chilly here in #Pittsburgh today, so we invite you to cozy up with these prints by #MaryCassatt.
.
Born in Allegheny City (now part of Pittsburgh), Cassatt began studying painting at fifteen years old. She traveled extensively in Europe during her early adulthood, eventually taking up residence in France, where she worked closely with the Impressionists. Throughout her career, Cassatt focused on female subjects and quiet, intimate scenes of mothers and children.
