2017 Tough Art Residents Arvid Tomayko & H. Gene Thompson: Arvid Tomayko is an experimental musician and multimedia artist based in Pittsburgh. H. Gene Thompson is a mixed media artist whose work questions the body and its form with her exploration of wearable sculpture, based also in Pittsburgh. The duo collaborates by combining H. Gene's fabric sculptures and performance art with Arvid's soundscapes. Their plan for the Tough Art residency is to create an immersive and interactive sensory experience that allows visitors to explore their impact on our oceanic environments.
