Nikita Zadorov wasn’t happy about how his double minor situation went down after 👀

The 31-year-old defenseman, in the Bruins 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks committed a double minor penalty against forward Frank Vatrano (swipe to see via Ducks Broadcast), which became his second and third penalties of the night amid the poorest of games from him in 2026-27 (Data via Hockeystatcards).

Marco Sturm, scratched him as a result of that in the Bruins 4-1 win against the Kings. But Zadorov doubled down on his style of play;

“Sometimes emotions can get ahead of you. It happens. But at the end of the day, that’s why they brought me here, to play that brand of the hockey….So maybe some people can say some penalties are selfish. I can say, ‘Talk to any of my teammates, present or past, and ask them if I’ve ever been selfish in my life on the ice,’ ” said Zadorov, who led the NHL in PIMs in each of the last two seasons. “I will do anything for those guys and for this team. Let’s just leave it that way.” — h/t McBride, Boston Globe

Thoughts? Will he be back in the lineup tonight?
