CJ Miles explains how a camera became part of his life long before photography became a professional opportunity. Speaking with Bill Rhoden, the former NBA player describes making time for creative interests alongside basketball and learning through study and consistent practice. He connects the process of developing his game with the process of developing his photographic eye. Footage of Miles photographing the NBA Finals shows him working in a setting he once knew as a player. He also reflects on the access that familiarity brings and why he wants his photographs to reveal athletes as people.
