Universal Orlando Resort is excited to welcome guests of every age to experience the vibrant world of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, one of five immersive lands coming to the all-new Universal Epic Universe park opening in 2025. Drawing inspiration from DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed and Academy Award–nominated trilogy, this richly detailed environment immerses visitors in the rugged, rocky realm where adventurous Vikings and spirited dragons coexist.

Developed collaboratively by Universal Creative alongside the talented teams at DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures, Isle of Berk showcases expansive, handcrafted architecture, lush landscaping, and sweeping hills dotted with dragon roosts and Viking outposts. Everywhere you look, something is happening—dragons nesting in their lairs, sheep attempting to pass off as Terrible Terrors, and the occasional burst of flame—making the village itself a living, breathing attraction.

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders – Guests join Hiccup for a flight in his latest glider invention on this family-friendly coaster. Riders soar alongside Hiccup and Toothless at speeds up to 45 mph, tracing the edge of Berk and even dipping over its sparkling lagoon, experiencing firsthand what it feels like to ride a dragon.

The Untrainable Dragon – Drawing from Universal Beijing Resort’s hit show, this live spectacle follows Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber, and Astrid as they work together to unravel the mystery of a dragon that cannot be trained. Filled with stirring musical numbers, elaborate sets, and full-scale dragons gliding overhead, it’s a heartwarming adventure for the whole family.

Fyre Drill – Mischievous twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut challenge teams of Vikings to a water-soaked contest. Boarding dragon-headed boats, guests fire water cannons at flame-shaped targets, practicing essential fire-quelling techniques—an indispensable skill when cohabiting with dragons.

Dragon Racer’s Rally – Aspiring dragon racers take the helm of two Viking-engineered training rigs, ascending as high as 67 feet while executing barrel rolls and aerial maneuvers. Guests can choose a tame or wild ride as they loop, swoop, and dive to hone skills worthy of a championship-level racer.

Viking Training Camp – Young warriors can climb, slide, and discover all things dragon through a sprawling interactive playground. Featuring a Viking obstacle course, a Toothless–themed teeter-totter, baby Gronckle climbers, and more, this camp offers hands-on fun for junior Vikings.

Meet Hiccup and Toothless – In the Haddock Paddock, guests can greet heroic Dragon Rider Hiccup and snap a photo alongside his loyal Night Fury, Toothless. Throughout the day, familiar Vikings and dragons roam the village, offering spontaneous encounters around every corner.

Beyond thrilling rides and enchanting encounters, Isle of Berk invites guests to dine and shop in true Viking style. At Mead Hall, the heart of the village, guests gather like the locals to enjoy a hearty menu of meats, fish, sandwiches, and more, accompanied by a selection of meads and ciders. Overlooking the excitement of Fyre Drill, Spit Fyre Grill serves up quick-service fare flame-seared by an unseen dragon chef. Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel offers festive bites in Viking Camp for speedy snacks and racing-themed treats. After a day of dragon training, visitors can commemorate their adventure at Viking Traders, How to Treat Your Dragon, Hiccup’s Work Shop, and Toothless’ Treasures, each stocked with themed apparel, keepsakes, and more.

To celebrate the epic experiences awaiting at How to Train Your Dragon—Isle of Berk, a limited-edition merchandise collection—including apparel, mugs, and pennants—is available now at shop.universalorlando.com. As part of the NBCUniversal family, DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures are working together to bring this dynamic world to life. Stay tuned for further updates about the Universal Epic Universe in the coming months.
