As summer drew to a close, Universal Studios Hollywood wrapped up its Wicked Wednesday live series on August 15, 2007, with memorable performances by Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty, stars of the Los Angeles production of Wicked at the nearby Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

Espinosa and Hilty, portraying the witches of Oz, captivated the crowd with renditions of fan-favorite songs, including "Popular," "The Wizard and I," and "For Good." Following their performance, they warmly interacted with fans, signing autographs and taking photos.

Throughout the summer, cast members from the Los Angeles production of Wicked made guest appearances on Universal Studios’ Blues Brothers Stage. Notable participants included Carol Kane, John Rubinstein, Julie Reiber, Melissa Fahn, and Adam Lambert.

Wicked, adapted from Gregory Maguire's novel, features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. Joe Mantello directed the production, which was musically staged by Wayne Cilento. Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone produced the show.

Eden Erica Espinosa is an American actress and singer widely recognized for her performances as Elphaba in the Broadway, Los Angeles, and San Francisco productions of Wicked.

Born in Anaheim, California, Espinosa is of Mexican heritage. She began singing at age three, performing by five and recording by ten. While attending Canyon High School, she starred as Maria in a production of West Side Story. After graduation, Espinosa performed at local theme parks such as Disneyland and Universal Studios. She was also a member of The Young Americans, a Southern California-based performing group known for entertaining audiences worldwide.

Espinosa made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, which premiered on October 30, 2003. Initially, she served as a standby for Idina Menzel in the role of Elphaba and understudied the role of Nessarose.

Espinosa returned to Broadway on January 10, 2006, taking over as Elphaba from Shoshana Bean in the Broadway production of Wicked. She performed during the celebration of the show’s 1,000th performance on March 21, 2006. Espinosa originated the role of Elphaba for the third U.S. production of Wicked in Los Angeles, which opened on February 21, 2007. She performed the role until December 30, 2007, earning widespread critical acclaim.
