Since my diagnosis I have searched for information on my cancer and have tried to find others who have gone through a similar journey.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've always used social media to seek inspiration with technology, fashion and beards, so I did the same with cancer - to find some commonality or even some reassurance, that this wasn't necessarily the end and I wasn't the only one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I did find this -  there are so many people who are sharing their battle with cancer, and are doing such an amazing job at staying strong and positive, but I struggled to find any from a male perspective. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, I have decided to start sharing my story, in the hope that someone else out there may benefit from the perspective of a young beard-loving male!

Why did I choose the handle pleasenotthebeard? Because one of my initial thoughts when I found out about my cancer was "Shit, I'm going to lose my beard aren't I?!" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's hoping that doesn't happen...
