It had been awhile since our nomadnesstribe BBQ in the city, but the feeling we all had while there never left. It was one of those cities when Tribe started asking…how much is the cost of living?

So, I was eager to get back!!

My first stop with my visitblkrva family was to sit down with none other than the renowned artist, muralist, and creator Hamilton Glass ( hamglass ). This man’s work has been praised all over the nation. If you all remember, #Richmondtook over the national spotlight after George Floyd’s murder for their people taking to the streets, and dethroning Confederate statues all around the city. 

The unheard voices made sure they were heard loud and clear and Black Lives Matter empowered the streets. 

Hamilton and his team paired artists of different backgrounds together for the mural installation, Mending Walls ( mendingwallsrva ). Richmond came alive, in living color, and emotion thanks to the vision of this artist.
