#BreastCancerAwarenessMonth kicks off with one of our researchers making waves in this area of #cancerresearch.
 
When facing #breastcancer, the most pressing question on everyone’s mind is which therapies will work. The flip side of that question, though, is which ones won’t. 

Dr. Christina Curtis, stanford.cancer , is looking to answer this important question. As more women survive breast #cancer, the need to minimize patients’ exposure to unnecessary treatments and side effects will ensure that survivors enjoy healthy and long lives.
 
With their findings so far, researchers are working toward a diagnostic test that uses the patient’s molecular profile to determine treatment options.
 
“We appreciate this grant, which has helped us move our research forward rapidly toward the ultimate goal of translating these findings to the clinic to benefit patients,” said Curtis.
