This #FashionFriday we are highlighting a recent FANtastical find in our Fashion Archives!  This hand-painted fan has mother of pearl sticks or handle and features a bullfighting scene.  In this summer heat, we may think of fans mostly as a way to cool ourselves, but in the 19th century fans could be used to give subtle social cues by how they were held or moved.
