How do you build an exhibition for five decades of work? “Mildred Howard: Poetics of Memory” Curator, Carin Adams, takes us behind the scenes of making an exhibition come to life with one of Mildred’s most iconic pieces: Blackbird in a Red Sky (a.k.a. Fall of the Blood House).   This 13-foot-tall sculpture has never been on view in California and installing the glass, wood, and water components took care and precision from our preparators and registrars.   🍎Watch the full video on YouTube. 🏠Plan your visit and experience “Mildred Howard: Poetics of Memory”!
