Hear from @adrianlburrell on the histories and futures shaping “Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain”. A third-generation Oakland artist, Burrell’s “Message to the Dandelions” explores connections between the diaspora’s persistence and weeds. In his installations in Black Spaces, Burrell responds to themes of connection and survival, and the transfer of intergenerational knowledge across time and space. Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain explores histories of displacement, resistance, and resilience in Oakland and the East Bay through art, architecture, and archival research. Now in its FINAL WEEKS—don’t miss your chance to experience Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain before it closes. 📍On view now through March 1, 2026 at OMCA 🎟️Tickets at the link in bio! #BlackHistoryMonth #AdrianBurrell #OMCA #OaklandArt #BlackArt
