Happy Birthday Ryan! Get to know ORACLE TEAM USA's Ryan Barrango in his own words this ‪#‎TeamThursday.
"I drive chase boats and attempt to fix them when they break. I was running a boat business with my dad in San Francisco. Repairs and service and sales, and we happened to be located about 2 minutes from the base, and got linked up with them, and worked my ass off and got here. I wasn’t hired for my sailing skills, that’s for sure. Nah, I’m not a sailor. My favorite part of the job I would say is just working with the team and a bunch of cool people, smart people, and everyone’s here for a reason. Everyone’s good at what they do, so interacting with everyone and learning what everyone has to offer, that’s pretty rewarding. To be a part of it and see people’s excitement when you’re around the boat. People get pretty stoked off it, and you forget that when it’s a daily thing for you. But when you see other people stoked it’s refreshing." Birthday plans? "Yeah, I think just head out here in dockyard and stay close to work in case people don’t make it home, and try to take everyone down with me."
