Last week Gov. Brad Little and Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, adjutant general of Idaho, presented 124th Fighter Wing's Staff Sgt. Kyle Perkins with the Idaho Cross medal at the Idaho State Capitol for his significant act of heroism on the evening of June 14, 2019.
Perkins quickly responded to a man sitting next to him in distress. Perkins and his wife, Allia, assessed and secured the scene and performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. His actions saved the man's life.
The Idaho Cross is the highest state award presented to a military member or civilian employee of the Idaho Military Division.
