Did you know that when you shop at our Museum Store at the Sacramento History Museum, there is something special about the paper bag we place your purchased items in? Our paper bags are printed with our Museum logo and contact information using one of our printing presses in our print shop exhibit. In this video, Jared and Channey demonstrate our 10x15 Chandler & Price Gordon-style jobbing press, manufactured in 1902, for a press run to print 250 large paper bags for our Museum Store. The video began with placing ink on the ink disk and then operating the press to distribute the ink and make sure that there was an even layer for the disk and rollers. The rollers reapply ink to the form (in this case the engraving we are printing) in between each impression made. The Redington counter counts the number of impressions made. Stop by the Sacramento History Museum when we’re open and take home a printing souvenir when you shop! #SacHistoryMuseum #paperbag #museumtok #asmr #printing
