## Caption

We recently received a box in the mail from one of our followers, Gerry, in Nevada and the box contained a bunch of cuts associated with the Department of Food and Agriculture in Sacramento, California in 1910-1920s. In this video, Howard letterpress printed a photo engraving of a very invasive animal in the Delta of the Central Valley of California. This print depicts a nutria, which is a large, semi-aquatic rodent that is native to South America and were introduced to the region over 100 years ago for the fur trade. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. #SacHistoryMuseum #nutria #sacramento #museum #sactiktok
