## Caption

Happy birthday, @KCRA3! On September 3, 1955, KCRA went on the air for the first time at 2pm with a telecast at the California State Fair and continues to broadcast to this day. The news studio was originally housed in a remodeled old dairy barn located at 310 10th Street. At the time, its news antenna was the tallest structure in Sacramento and there were 57,000 television receivers in the Sacramento area. For today, Jared letterpress printed “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KCRA 3” using wood type of the French Clarendon typeface. The top line is 15 line pica and the bottom is 30 line pica in size. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. #SacHistoryMuseum #onthisday #kcra #museum #sactiktok
