The 2025 baseball season has started and Sacramento (just across the river from downtown in West Sacramento) now has two teams playing at Sutter Health Park, the Sacramento River Cats (AAA team) and The Athletics MLB team.

In this video, Shawn takes a look at Sacramento’s baseball history that has its beginning during the California Gold Rush and how the 2025 season is history in the making for our city. We support bringing back Peruvian Bitters as a baseball team name!
