One of the ways we like to stay relevant on social media is to post content that is tied to a specific day. When it comes to videos from our print shop exhibit, “national holidays” help us with highlighting woodcuts and electrotypes from our collections. For today, September 30th, Jared letterpress printed an over 125 year old woodcut from the Lewis Winter Collection for National Lace Day. Much of the cuts in the Winter Collection are of clothing items and accessories because Winter designed cuts for local magazines, catalogs, and newspapers in the late 1880s through the 1890s. #SacHistoryMuseum #NationalLaceDay #lace #getcultured #museumtok #printing
