We attended a test drive event in Germany recently where the HM460 was able to be driven in real world conditions with a full 42 tonne payload.  The next-generation Komatsu HM460-6 articulated dump truck marks a massive leap forward in hauling efficiency. Powered by a new 518 hp DBA127 engine and an advanced 9-speed automatic transmission, it boosts fuel efficiency by up to 22% while reducing consumption by 12%. Its lighter, high-strength steel structure expands payload capacity to 46.3 short tons and body size to 25.7 m³. For demanding terrain, it introduces the Komatsu Traction Control System alongside a 100% cross-axle differential lock.
