I am asking for a retraction on the headline article, “Bruce Lee’s training partner slams ‘Once Upon a Time’ portrayal of late icon”—an article focused on my father, Dan Inosanto.  He did not “slam” anyone in regard to this motion picture, nor does he harbor any ill-will at Mr. Quentin Tarantino.  Although my father had great concern upon hearing of the portrayal of my late godfather, Bruce Lee, in Mr. Tarantino's film, this article suggest that his reaction was something other to his diplomatic nature. 
People were seriously misled by the tone of the headline, causing material problems for my father.  In his exclusive interview with Variety (and the only interview that he gave) his goal was to share and reflect on the real nature of my godfather and to bridge people’s understanding as a first hand witness to Bruce Lee’s struggles and his hopes and dreams.  With that in mind, I am asking for a retraction or at least clarification.  My father is a national treasure in the world of martial arts.  And the papers shameless sensationalism has caused him real harm within some of the community.
