Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, and A$AP Rocky sit down to discuss the filming of HIGHEST 2 LOWEST referencing the legendary double dolly shot in the movie as well as its history in film making. 🎥 🎞️ HIGHEST TO LOWEST (2025), directed by Spike Lee and starring Denzel Washington, is a modern crime thriller inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low. Set in present day New York City, the film follows David King, a powerful music mogul on the verge of taking full control of his company. His life is disrupted when a kidnapper targets his family but mistakenly abducts his chauffeur’s son instead. Despite the error, a large ransom is demanded, forcing King to decide between saving the child or protecting his fortune and career. The film uses a double dolly shot, also known as a dolly zoom and popularized by Alfred Hitchcock, to heighten tension. As the camera moves while zooming in the opposite direction, the background distorts, visually representing King’s panic and moral conflict during key moments. 🎞️ ⭐ Starring Denzel Washington, @A$AP ROCKY, Jeffrey Wright, and Ilfenesh Hadera. Under the creative vision of Spike Lee. Streaming now on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Roku. #Highest2Lowest #doubledollyshot #asaprocky #denzelwashington
