Today is #WorldDownSyndromeDay, and we're encouraging all of our followers to participate by layering your craziest, most brightly colored, mismatched socks to get people talking about Down syndrome. 🧦

Why socks? Striped long socks resemble chromosomes, and layering three socks represents one for each chromosome.

The date for WDSD (the 21st day of the 3rd month) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
