FLEECE IS PLASTIC and PLASTIC IS WHAT WE ARE DROWNING IN. Recycling plastic cups, bottles, bags will not save us, animals, land, sea or our planet. The technologies companies market of plastic bottles converted into clothing is not a real solution. The plastic bottles are then trapped in the clothes never going anywhere, just moved around.

Therefore we can do 3 things:

•STOP USING PLASTIC

•STOP MAKING CLOTHES OUT OF PLASTIC

 •USE WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE
 
 #Upcycling, although it doesn’t have every answer, is the best solution we currently have. 
But what is the stigma upcycled production faces? #LABOR 
I hear it every day. “But the labor is so expensive. 
It is, but it’s time for that to not be seen as a negative. 

•Labor creates jobs (jobs in recycling) 

•Labor creates community and a sense of purpose

•Labor focused on upcycling creates the clean-up action we so desperately need. 

When you, as a consumer, buy a product, the current profit margin (money) goes to the corporation. 
Labor has been whittled down to the smallest amount possible. The planet is “protected with pennies” 🙄
As upcycling gains traction, labor + planet abuse in recycling will grow too. 
We must CONTINUE to demand companies take less and give more to action that creates ACTUAL change. This is a global issue, from social to environmental. The buying power of the multiple generations in this market is far more powerful than any corporation. The more we unite-online, in real life, in conversations and, most importantly, in our daily habits, no one can stop us on our journey to save our precious planet and each other.
