I’m a little bit late to the party here, but I’ll post it anyway…
•
Back in January, I bought two pairs of the jumpman23 Air Jordan IIs.
•
The IIs have special significance, as that model coincided with me covering the NBA and Michael Jordan’s ascension into one of the sport’s all time greats.
•
For a number of years, I was fortunate to shoot some of his games here in Seattle when the Bulls played the Seattle SuperSonics. 
•
Through some friends at nikebasketball back in the day, I interviewed him for Nike’s employee newsletter and even got to hang out with MJ & some of the basketball sports marketing guys.
•
Covering the NBA made me learn how to multitask, as well as how to develop film & print photos (remember, this was a decade before digital photography).
•
I didn’t get credentialed for All Star Saturday or the game, but I got some swag & got to go to the parties that weekend.
•
Here’s the Slam Dunk contest t shirt issued to the Nike sponsored athletes, including Jordan (who won it-see picture 2).
•
The last two photos are a shot of Jordan I took, and a t shirt promoting the release of the IIs.
•
