We’re grateful for associates like Emily, who go above and beyond to assist our pet parents! When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she noticed a pet parent having trouble communicating. Because Emily was wearing a mask, they were unable to read her lips. In response, Emily taught herself three different phrases in American Sign Language, including “What is your phone number?” “Would you like a bag?” and “Have a nice day.” When the pet parent was checking out the following week, Emily used her newly learned phrases and the pet parent was elated. ❤️#HeartofPetSmart #LifeAtPetSmart #AnythingforPets
