Love don’t sauced a thing. (So gailsimmonseats challenged me via chefmikeanthony to share a recipe and help support my absolute fav godslovenyc! The other night I made a pot of spicy rigatoni alla vodka, per demand from my sister, and here’s how you make it: Heat up 3 tablespoons olive oil and cook 1 minced onion and 4 sliced garlic cloves until lightly golden then stir in 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or more if you’re not a baby like me, and deglaze with 1/3 cup vodka. Simmer for a minute then add one 28-ounce can tomato purée and simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook 1 pound dry rigatoni in salted water, then drain. Season sauce with salt and stir in 1/2 cup cream. Add rigatoni and stir for a minute to combine, then adjust with salt and turn tf up since you’re probably in sweatpants and about to eat pasta. Then after you’re done eating, take out your credit card and make a big fat donation to godslovenyc like I did, and while you’re at it, donate to employee relief funds for your favorite restaurants—I gave to sundayinbrooklyn, olmstednyc, missadanyc, loringplacenyc and gramercytavern. Last but not least, order delivery from restaurants that are still open to give them the business they need right now. I invite inagarten, debperelman, clarkbar and emcdowell to my virtual dinner party to share what you’re cooking using #whoareyoucookingfor, invite some friends—plus Ina, of course, since a boy can dream—and give a little to godslovenyc to help feed neighbors in need. FYI, $100 will provide a weeks worth of meals to a client! Do what you can, wash your fucking hands, #stayhome, and eat lots of pasta!!!!) #feedfeed #pasta #rigatoni #allavodka #vodka #vodkasauce #carbs #godslovewedeliver
