RENTAL KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION

Morning everyone! I’d say that when it comes to decor and adding colour in a rental property, the most challenging room is probably the kitchen. That’s because pretty much all the inherited decor is already fitted in, it’s all hard surfaces, there are unsightly machines and there’s little opportunity for disguising with soft throws and cushions etc!

The biggest challenge was the splashback and counter top. But then I discovered the joys of modern removable self adhesive vinyl! Quite illuminating and a massive move-on from Blue Peter’s sticky back plastic 😂

Ad (gifted) My particular joy is the splashback, which has transformed my feeling about the kitchen. This is incredible waterproof, heatproof removable vinyl wallpaper made to order for me, in a custom colour by the fabulous quadrostylestickers. They cut it exactly to size in 4 sections, so that it was really easy to apply. On Stories later, I’ll show you the little diagram they sent me, showing the panels. Just brilliant! 

And I need to give a special mention to my fellow colourfiedhomes host, mo.and.the.jungle.shelf for inspiring the plants along the top shelf here. I mean, in comparison to Mo’s (you’ve gotta check it out - It’s just wow!), mine is more like ‘Anna and the mown-down meadow shelf’ - and also his are real and mine are faux. But I love it and the plants create such a lovely feeling in the kitchen! Thank you Mo! 💚🌿
