Good morning to the last day of 2020!

Although I’ve had this mid century sofa bed from Brixton market for about 6 years now, I’ve only ever used it as a sofa. But Coco asked if she could lie down on it the other day when she wasn’t feeling well. So I made it up as a bed for the first time ever and she loved it!! And I love it! 

It’s become the perfect extra little bed, which I’d completely forgotten about. All you do is fold back the wooden folding table on the right, place the back cushion in it for the pillows and when you lift the pink base, there’s sling storage for your bedding. So simple, so perfect! 

For some reason this little image now seems symbolic of lessons learned to take into 2021. About appreciating what we already have and making the best of it, slowing down, nurturing our health, connecting to nature, finding moments for reflection and peace. Sounds a lot like I’m truly embracing becoming a middle aged laaaady 😂 

But really, if anything positive can be squeezed out of 2020, I think these are just a few of the things I’d like to hold on to, as we enter a fresh new year, which will hopefully bring us back to freedom, friends and family - eventually.
