Hello everyone! Apologies for the recent absence - just had a couple of family crises, which I’m getting under control now. Talking of crises, I actually thought Coco was on half term now, because Zach is, but it turns out she’s still got another week at school! 😂 I think there’s been so much talk on the news about the possible circuit break lockdown during the ‘two week’ half term, that I just presumed! Anyone else caught out by this?

I also realized that I don’t think I’ve ever shown you this wall of my living room before! I think it’s because it just doesn’t feel right to me yet - I want to paint some kind of mural on it and I also want to repaint that blue chest of drawers. But here we are! It’s the view from our sofa and shows the electric Yamaha piano, which I’ve had for 20yrs. I’m actually rubbish at playing the piano, but I couldn’t live without one - for me, playing is therapy. Even when I was a grumpy teen, if I was in a bad mood at 3am I would go downstairs and play my parents’ piano for ages until I’d calmed down. Now, to my delight, Coco wants to learn, so I was going to teach her basic notes at first, but in for a penny in for a pound, so I’ve gone straight in with teaching her a whole duet! She’s loving it!

PS. Rather thrilled that my upcycled black marble table has a whole page in The Telegraph magazine today!

Have a fab weekend everyone.
