Morning everyone! Just a simple one from me today (I know! Gasp! 😂) i just wanted to say that I’m eternally thankful to the fabulous artist linneaanderssonofficial for allowing me to base my stair mural on her original work of art (check out her page!).
.
.
When I was planning the mural I had something similar to this in my head and I already had the pot of blue paint left over from my living room wall, but even with lots of sketching I just couldn’t quite get it. Then I found her work on insta and I immediately thought, ‘can I picture that on my staircase?’ and the answer was a big fat YES!
.
.
This was the first bold move I made in painting my flat and I loved it so much that it spurred me on to do the rest. Painting this kind of broke the unsaid rules of decorating a rental, even perhaps of creating a tasteful home (!) But you know what, to create a home that’s really cool for you (whatever anyone else thinks), sometimes you just have to say ‘no rules’ loud and clear! Hands up who agrees?! 🙋🏻‍♀️
.
.
#myhousethismonth - thankful Thursday
#storyofmyhome - picture that
#mycolourfulinterior - brilliant and bold
#desperatelyseekingstyle - no rules cool
#mylondonhome - a work of Art
#mymeaningfulhome - a bold move
