Morning everyone! We’re back from Scotland and feeling goooood after lots of fresh air and trying new things like paddle boarding and white water rafting. I’m actually half Scots as my dad’s from Glasgow, so as kids we visited regularly, but the Glasgow of 40yrs ago is very different from the absolutely stunning area of Perth and Pitlochry we were staying in this week. I mean really breathtaking in its cinematic beauty. I actually hadn’t realised Scotland could be quite so beautiful! We had pristine blue skies almost the whole time, giving us wonderful summer nights eating in the garden with loads of kids running around having the time of their lives. I do wonder if COVID will ultimately be positive for the UK tourist industry, as so many of us will have discovered and rediscovered how wonderful it is to holiday here.

We also took Duffy with us this time, so another great discovery was how immaculately behaved he could be on tubes and trains and particularly on the 6.5hr train ride from London to Pitlochry. At first he snuggled down into nooks and crannies under the seats, but most of the time he hung out in the aisle of the train, charming everyone, creating his own aisle/isle of dogs! (😉 mymonthincolour). I wish I had a pound for every time another passenger told us how impressed they were with him! Anyone else taken their dog on a long train ride recently?
