LOO MAKEOVER - PART 1
.
Tadaaa! The loo in our rented flat left a lot to be desired. The walls are really roughly finished and the loo itself seems jolly old! Although it does have a gorgeous round window, it needed to up its game to match the bathroom so that the whole place could be a sanctuary. So I decided to make do and mend with a lockdown loo makeover! .
.
The first thing I’d been dying to do was paint a mural on the walls to warm it up and distract from the roughly finished bits. Swipe for a closer view. My inspiration came from the strange and wonderful plant on the steps that arrived in the post a few weeks ago. So I drew a simplified version of it and used that as the main motif. I also used left-over paint and tester pots from my zig zag mural on the opposite wall, so it hasn’t cost a penny to create! I’ve posted the whole journey of painting it in my Stories Highlights and I think it might even be in the Evening Standard online today (with more tips on creating murals)!! Now you can see why I haven’t posted on the grid for 5 days 😂 I actually need to finish the mural in a couple of places, but then I’ll be painting the ceiling and stenciling the floor, so watch out on Stories for progress. .
.
Of course, loo beauty on its own is not enough, so I will now also be conducting postgrad training for the kids in loo etiquette! .
.
Happy Friday everyone! And a big high five to all parents for completing Summer term, week 1 of homeschooling - dear lord I’m learning a lot! Whether my kids are too is another matter 😂 .
