Well, you know I love a through view! I actually painted this door surround in bright Smalt blue, purely so I could see it contrasted against the pale pink of the hallway. Such a thrill! .
.
myhousethismonth asked for 5 facts about us today, but I told thebeigeblues so much on Friday, that I realised I had to come up with some more stuff! So here goes ....
.
.
1. I worked as a sailor on tall ships (square riggers) for 2yrs in my early 20s. I climbed the rigging 60ft up and nearly fell off the yard arm pulling up a sail, while sailing it between sets for The Three Musketeers, staring Charlie Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland! .
.
2. I joined the army (TA) by accident when I was 17. I was a Private for a year and trained as an officer for a year. But frankly my dears, I was more Private Benjamin than Private Ryan. .
.
3. I spent 6 months as a baby in the wings of The Gielgud Theatre in the West End (London), because my mum was an actor.
.
4. I became very allergic to hair dye after I dyed my hair jet black at the age of 19. Black dye is the most toxic colour - and I looked appalling!! It subsequently took me 30yrs to find a natural dye that covers Grey and that I don’t react to.
.
5. I got Rubella SIX times as a child over a few years and so became a study case for the virology department of St George’s hospital, Tooting. .
.

#storyofmyhome - 7 - frankly my dear
