Morning everyone! I tried to post this earlier, but insta kept deleting everything as I did it! Anyone else have that problem? Anyway, this is a different angle of my hallway to show you how the newly made-over bathroom and blue mural stairs etc relate to each other. .
.
You may notice that I’ve painted the dark brown wood radiator cover in the same pale pink as the doorways, which has made this area so much lighter and more spacious! Until now I have done everything myself, but I was running out of time before my flat was photographed on Wednesday, so I enlisted the last minute help of fab all female decorating company, paintingplacedecorators - and Fara did a great job on the radiator! .
.
I also changed the huge picture above it from my yellow Chinese Tree to the pink Afternoon Dreaming, which is a 2m high blow up of a detail of my original painting of the grasses in my old Camberwell garden. I had it made by planarama for my first Pop-up shop in Heal’s on Tottenham Court Road. That was definitely a time to dream big! I loved the yellow, but it was a bit much with the zig zags and bright blue stairs. The pink brings it all together. .
.
I also changed the clock to this little Ikea one, which I painted in a colour to work with the rest of the scheme, plus the shape perfectly reflects the background shapes in my blue stair mural! .
.
I still need to replace the fitting for the pendant (as it is very old and stuck!) and eventually paint the flat middle section of the ceiling in the same pale pink.
What do you think?! .
