Good morning! Anyone else have an Inset day today? So, as it’s the last day of half term, my 9yr old daughter asked me to wake her up at 6.30am to make sure she could fully take advantage of her last day at home! My 12 yr old son on the other hand asked me not to wake him up until at least lunch time 😂 .
.
This is my new Heron in Rose print and I have to say, I absolutely love him! I wanted to create a flying bird that exudes strength and determination, but a beautiful grace at the same time. It takes total grit and determination to be a parent (especially a single parent) and run a business at the same time. I’m actually pretty good on the grit and determination bit, but I do sometimes forget the grace, so the Heron in Rose is here to remind me! .

Painted in pen and ink on water colour paper. .
