Who is going to get the most valuable Number 1 in the limited editions of my new Ginkgo Branch print?!! I’ve launched them just now on my website 😀 Swipe left to see the actual print - it’s amazing how it’s picked up all the detailed texture of my original painting in ink, pencil and plaster! .
.
The Ginko Biloba tree represents so much that is close to my heart. .
.
It is the oldest surviving species of tree known to exist and some individual trees are thought to be more than 3000 years old! As such, they are the subject of great veneration in the East. They are considered a sacred tree symbolising strength, endurance, the unity of opposites, bearers of hope and symbols of love. Six Ginko trees even survived the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 and one of these now stands in the Peace Park and has been named the 'bearer of hope', with prayers of peace engraved on its bark. What an amazing tree! From now on, I’m always going to have one of these hanging in my home. .
.
I’m making the print in 3 sizes - 60cm high, 75cm high and 100cm high and they are all printed with an additional 5cm white border to make them easier to frame. .
.
The wonderful thing about this print, is that you can also hang it in its side to make a landscape picture. Just let me know if this is what you want to do when you order, so that I know which way to sign it!.
