OMG yesterday was so full on!! In an amazing way. We had a non stop stream of wonderful local people walking through our flat, looking at, talking about and buying art from the artists and makers showing here for the Crystal Palace Artists’ Open House. As far as I can gather, nearly all of our 83 artists across 35 venues were just as busy. It almost seemed liked the whole of our local Crystal Palace community was out and about yesterday, meeting each other through art and creativity. I LOVE THAT!!! I also made some last minute changes for the show - this corner shows a really old chest of drawers that came with the house I bought (and lost) 19 years ago, which I upcycled super fast for this weekend, helped by the lovely glenkeegan. The neon pink strip across the front is actually a little pull out table! I’m hoping it means the kids or me can work or play on it with a lap top in the living room while we’re all in it together, giving us just a bit more family time. If you haven’t visited us yet, we’re open again next weekend, 11am - 6pm.
