In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Mormon was asked to compile the small plates of Nephi with the other plates. He did not understand why the Lord was asking him to do this work, but he moved forward, stating, “I do not know all things; but the Lord knoweth all things which are to come; wherefore, he worketh in me to do according to his will” (Words of Mormon 1:7).

That record is now known as the Book of Mormon and has blessed countless generations. All because Mormon followed through with a prompting.

While we don’t have all the answers, we can trust in the wisdom and foresight of a loving Heavenly Father who knows what’s best for us. Even when we’re unsure, following those promptings leads us down paths of growth and learning and brings us closer to Him.

How have you been blessed by following the promptings of the Spirit?
