Saint Michael the Archangel is the highest ranking angel in the angelic choirs, given by his victory over Lucifer, the light bearer, who is known to us as the old serpent, the enemy, the father of lies, the impure spirit. The name Michael translates to “Who is like God?”, an unanswerable question, illustrating the humility with which St. Michael serves God in Heaven.

Evoked as the Patron of the Church, special protector of France, and originally the Patron of the Synagogue, St. Michael is a powerful intercessor to all who battle the forces of darkness. There exists a Chaplet of St. Michael the Archangel, which, carrying great graces to those who propagate it, has the approbation of Pius IX.

St. Michael, the Archangel, pray for us!
