According to the cdcgov , opioids are the main driver of drug OD deaths; involved in 33,091 deaths in 2015. The numbers are going up each year!  Fires and other all-hazards incidents put our firefighter/EMTs(paramedics) at risk, we certainly have to maintain a heighten sense of crew security and personal safety on medical calls as well.
