It’s been 15 years since beloved actress Natasha Richardson passed away at just 45 years old. Tragedy struck when she died of blunt force trauma after falling while skiing at Quebec’s Mont Tremblant. Richardson left behind her husband, actor Liam Neeson, and her two sons, Michéal and Daniel, who were 13 and 12, respectively, at the time.

Richardson captivated audiences both on stage and on screen throughout her illustrious career. One of her most memorable roles was playing Elizabeth James, mom to Lindsay Lohan’s twin characters, in the 1998 remake of “The Parent Trap”. Richardson’s son, Micheál Richardson, who took her surname in 2018 to honor her, said that’s his favorite role of his late mother. 

“That’s more or less what she was like,” he told the todayshow in 2020. “She was this sweet, amazing mother figure — my best friend. She had these amazing, big welcomes when we’d come home or she would come home.” He imitated her by saying “Darling!” then added, “I’m so lucky because I have her captured on film.”
