Throwback to when I graduated college and had dalocksmith sign my degree. I remember when I was 15 years old, pullin' up to Rasputin's in Hayward with my grandma in her scraper and getting my Frontline CD signed (This was the group Lock was a part of before he went solo).

Then eight years later, I graduate from Cal so I go to the Rasputin's in Berkeley to buy myself a little graduation present - Locksmith's new CD, "A Thousand Cuts" and the cashier was like "aw man, you just missed him. He was here" - so I'm like...well he can't be far.

So I called him (I was the President of the Hip Hop Club at UC Berkeley so I had his number because I had just booked him for Hip Hop in the Park) and he was like "I'm not in Berkeley anymore, but I'm down to meet you by the lake" and so there we are in the Trader Joe's Parking lot and we ended up just choppin it up for like two hours.

Man all these years later it means so much to me that he took the time to celebrate my graduation with me - both as one of my favorite rappers and as a fellow UC Berkeley alumni. Lock's a real legend and he makes me proud to be from the Bay. Yee!!

I'm manifesting an album and I know he gotta be on it. I got a lot of people asking me if I'm gonna release music - and I am, but it gotta be right. Don't trip, I got a grand plan and if you tryna get insight to it then join my AI Mastermind and TuneIn with me.

Swipe to see some bars from Locksmith's "On God" challenge and then check out a snippet from his music video - could you see us on a track together?
