## Caption

8 months ago today my brother was killed. 8 months ago, I was alone on the road for 6 weeks to travel 1,500 miles on a journey to bury him. I was lost. I was in survival mode, not knowing the extent of the danger I was in.

8 months ago, I couldn't see tomorrow. I would have never imagined where I would be today. I fell into a deep depression. I wanted to give up. I thought about not being alive at times. I felt a new depth of pain. But I continued.

Now, 8 months later...

.
I'm connecting with Hip Hop royalty Wanda Dee - a pioneer in the culture I love so much and telling her about my vision for queensoftheundergroundshow
.
.
I got a shoutout from Rey Reel (produced for Beyoncé, Drake) to my 5th grade music production student and told him about my KidsMakeBeats program.
.
.
I reconnected from my friend from UC Berkeley - We both majored in Political Science and now he works at Empire!

.
.
I got to hear first hand from the music executives that found, signed, produced for, and worked with the world's biggest artists. I'm honored to be able to learn from the best.
.
.
And thats not even everything but this post gonna turn into an essay 😅
.
.
I'm just so grateful 🙏😭
