😔Today I learned of the murder of #DaunteWright, a 20-year old father who was killed by a close-range shot from an officer who supposedly mistook her taser for a gun. It's already a painful story to hear - pain that's only added when I can't help but think of #BreonnaTaylor, #PhilandoCastile, #GeorgeFloyd, #JamelRoberson, #SandraBland, #ThomasYatkso, #JordanEdwards, and too many others.
.
.
The other painful part is those people always trying to find some way to justify it...just stop. The police have perfectly demonstrated they know how to detain somebody or perform a traffic stop without it ending in murder - ain't that about white?
.
.
Anyways, with all this sitting heavy on my heart, I put it into this freewrite. It's sad that this is becoming a collection of raps - I've included a couple of others I did over the years (swipe 👉)One day when my music is listened to by millions, I'm going to put together an album of all the songs and register them to the victims' families so that all income they generate will go directly to supporting them for life.
