I understand that this photo and other cover art from my upcoming EP ⏩ “A Taste of Love”⏪ are more risqué than you would expect from me so there’s a few things that I’d like to address. Read on if I've intrigued your interest. .

1.  When I put out “I Said No” on my last project, it was the song that ended up on local radio, starting conversations around sexual violence, being featured on a mixtape, and shared several times during the height of the #metoo movement. But I don’t want my only discussion of my sexuality to be through the lens of my sexual assault. I don’t want my sexuality to be something I view as negative because of negative experiences I had. This track is important because it shows that I don’t have to and will not be defined by that experience – I can sexy, desired and desirable again. 🌹

2.  Again, I want to point out that nudity is not inherently sexual. Notice how this picture implies sexuality, yet I’m wearing more fabric than I have in other shoots (like the Beautiful & Disgusting cover) that have implied less sexuality. #FoodForThought🌹

3.  Men have been trying to profit from, take advantage of, and violate my body since as early as I can remember. Why can’t I use my body how I want and as part of my own art? I spent so much time trying to be the “desirable” woman a man would want and realized it doesn’t matter so why not do me🌹

4.  My best friend bought me a Victoria Secret gift card for my 25th birthday, and this is what I bought with it. Initially, I had gone online to shop, but I was frustrated at the lack of models that represented my body. So here you go, an unedited picture of an average woman’s body in Victoria Secret. I’m tryin to show you something real like an ass with some stretch marks, ya dig🌹 .

5.  The song is fire and so am I. I hope you can accept this part of me like you accept all other parts of me🌹
