This creamy + dreamy hot cocoa is not only dairy and refined-sugar free, but it sneaks in some 👌🏻 health benefits with the incorporation of 〰️
.
🌱 Cardamom 〰️ a spice known for it's ability to treat digestive issues and balance blood sugar
🌱 Cacao Powder 〰️ rich in polyphenols and antioxidants that fight free radicals while boosting brain function and heart health
🌱 Cashew Butter 〰️ filled with healthy fats and magnesium that help control cravings, improve circulation and fight off headaches/migraines .
.
To make do the following 〰️
.

.
+ Melt 1 tbsp artisanaorganics coconut oil, butter or fourthandheart ghee in a stovetop pan along with 1 tbsp navitasorganics cacao powder and optional square of dark chocolate (I'm obsessed with honeymamas or hukitchen ).
+ Add in 12 oz of non-dairy milk or hot water, 1 date pitted and chopped, 1 tbsp grounduppdx cashew butter, and 1/2 tsp of both frontiercoop cinnamon and cardamom, + 1/4 tsp sea salt
+ Stir and heat until steaming (do not boil) then pour into a blender and pulse for a minute to make thick and frothy
+ OPTIONAL ADD-IN'S -- foursigmatic reishi to feel calm, chaga to boost immunity, cordyceps for energy, gaiaherbs maca powder for fertility or vitalproteins collagen for gut health
