Meet Abbe, Marist’s first pup, and the West Highland White Terrier of President Kevin Weinman. As we celebrate #NationalDogDay, Abbe has an exciting day planned.
-----------------
7 a.m. - Wake up in cold sweat (metaphorical...dogs don’t actually sweat) from recurring “chasing chipmunk” dream
7:10 a.m. - Stare at puppy parents in not-so-subtle demand for breakfast
7:11 a.m. - It worked! Breakfast via ‘Farmer’s Dog’ chicken recipe
7:12 a.m. - Seriously...I’ve been waiting for breakfast all night and it’s over already?
7:13 a.m. - Back to bed...
8:30 a.m. - Awake again...help “work-from-home-mommy" write emails by lying at her feet
8:33 a.m. - Emails are boring...fall asleep at “work-from-home-mommy’s” feet
11:30 a.m. - Assume surveillance post at front window...scan for chipmunks
11:32 a.m. - Chipmunk! Bark incessantly.
11:33 a.m. - Chipmunk does not seem to care. Too tired to bark anymore. Chipmunk gets away.
11:34 a.m. - Nap on my favorite Marist pillow to recover from chipmunk barking
2 p.m. - Wake up. Demand tasty treat based on proven record of being a good girl
2:02 p.m. - Treat successfully gobbled up. Back to sleep
4:00 p.m. - Mindfulness meditation, followed by extended nap
5:00 p.m. - Dinner! Where is my dinner?!
5:01 p.m. - Dog dinner
6:30 p.m. - Human dinner! Assertive begging commences. And is successful, as always...
8 p.m. - Ooh! History Channel documentary on hero dogs
9 p.m. - Bedtime. Dream of the same exact day tomorrow...can’t wait!

What does your dog have on their agenda?
