A note from Red Fox Features co-founder, Bailey Colón ‘22:

I’d be lying if I said writing this note was easy. In fact, I’ve spent the last 72 hours trying to find the perfect words to express all of the emotions that seem to be essential to include in this note to honor the people that made Red Fox Features a reality. For the entirety of this project, I’ve had the incredible privilege of sharing the stories of the many remarkable individuals that are a part of the Marist community. Each week, I’ve met people whose paths I’ve never crossed, and strengthened my own friendships through the vulnerability that comes with storytelling.

Now having the opportunity to share my story with you all, I’m completely stumped.

So, instead, I want to say thank you.

Thank you to every student, faculty member, and staff member who sat down to talk to me about a project originally called “Red Fox Faces” that didn't have a place on campus just yet. Thank you for taking a chance on an unpolished idea from a girl with a lot of ambition, but nowhere to bring it to. Thank you to the marketing office, specifically Nicole Fortunato, for allowing me to make this vision a reality. Seeing my thoughts come to life and shared with my peers has been unfathomable - rewarding is an understatement. Thank you to Matt Moraski, for being not only the best internship partner, but an even better friend. I’ll always cherish Red Fox Features for bringing me to you. Thank you for always being unapologetically yourself, and always encouraging me to be mine, too. And, of course, thank you to my family, especially my dad for pushing me to share this idea with the community, and always to dream big.

But mostly, thank you for the growth, Red Fox Features. If the girl in her Midrise suite during the Fall of 2018 could see herself now, wow, I hope she’d be proud.

Red Fox Features, you're in great hands.
