If you were ever curious about who’s responsible for the photos you see on Red Fox Features each week, say hello to Matthew Moraski. Typically behind the camera, we brought him to the forefront this week as his time at Marist’s branch campus in Florence, and ours together with Red Fox Features, starts winding down. When this project was just a promising idea, Matt was one of our very first interviews. In that interview in September of 2021, we asked: What is your goal for this project?

“I want to know people as more than just a number in the undergraduate [class] at Marist. I think everyone has a story, and I’m excited to learn more about [them]”.

Eight months later, it’s safe to say that this goal has been accomplished.

“I think we did a lot to make it not seem picture perfect. I think telling that part of the story is super important because it's real; it's truly how these students feel. And it's really cool that we're doing it on a platform that can go to everyone - potential students, current students and past students.”

Now, as his junior year comes to a close, he reflected upon all of the work it’s taken to get to this point, and how rewarding seeing this project come to life has become.

“It's kind of mind blowing for me. It's just surreal how big it's gotten [and] how much we actually did. I think it really comes down to, did I expect this to happen? No. But at the same time, am I surprised that all this has happened? No. To know how hard we worked at doing this to get to this point… I'm not surprised that this happened at all.”
